Interior Stories

23 April 2026

Villa H129 is a remarkable urban villa located in the Randstad region, surrounded by water and greenery with views over a tranquil lake. Although the residence is situated within a bustling urban environment, its inhabitants experience an overwhelming sense of peace and quiet. The villa was designed for a family that places comfort and quality at the heart of daily living. Its architecture is modern, defined by generous ceiling heights and an open, airy character. Nature plays a leading role throughout the design and shapes the atmosphere of every space.

The interior was realized by Kabaz, the full-service design studio led by Bertram Beerbaum and André de Vos. Within the studio, a team of architects, interior architects, and specialists work closely together. They not only create the design, but also oversee and coordinate the entire process. This holistic vision is clearly reflected in Villa H129, where every detail has been carefully refined and luxury seamlessly merges with craftsmanship. The result is a home that is not only visually striking, but also deeply inviting and truly livable.

The villa is spread across three levels, with the ground floor serving as the main living area, featuring a spacious entrance hall, a living room, an expansive kitchen, and a utility room. The master bedroom, complete with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room, is also located on this floor. The first floor accommodates three additional bedrooms and another bathroom. High-quality materials have been used throughout the residence. The bespoke cabinetry in the kitchen and living room is crafted in Tabu veneer. In the stairwell, suede acoustic panels by Alphenberg and dark-tinted mirrors create a rich and sophisticated ambiance. Soft beige tones form the foundation of the interior palette, complemented by dark leather and refined bronze accents. In addition, all bathrooms and powder rooms feature gun metal faucets by Gessi.

The kitchen itself was designed as the central gathering place of the home, featuring a five-meter-long table in Patagonia natural stone with a pendant light by Henge suspended above it.

The living room immediately draws attention with its seven-meter-high custom cabinet wall, complete with integrated niches and subtle lighting. Bronze details reappear throughout both the kitchen and living area. An Edra sofa is positioned beneath a striking chandelier, while the homeowners’ personal art collection has been thoughtfully integrated into the interior. Between the living room and kitchen stands a tree that enhances the view and strengthens the connection with the outdoors. The kitchen itself was conceived as the heart of the home, centered around the impressive Patagonia stone table and illuminated by the sculptural pendant above. What truly completes the space are the expansive windows and the generous terrace overlooking the lake.

In Villa H129, architecture, interior, and surroundings come together as one harmonious whole. Thanks to the vision and guidance of Kabaz, a residence has been created in which luxury, warmth, and nature exist in perfect balance. Kabaz has crafted a place where the family can fully unwind and reconnect with its surroundings every single day.
